Contributions to James Harris for Oakland School Board 2012 are not tax deductible. Election law requires us to publicly report the name, mailing address (No P.O. We may not accept contributions of $100 or more made by cashier’s checks, money orders, or cash. If contributing with a credit card, it must be a personal credit card – not a corporate/business credit card. We may accept contributions of up to $700 from individuals and business entities. Spouses may each give $700, but the contributions must be made separately and under two different names. Contributions by foreign nationals (non-green card holders), city contractors, and minors under the age of 18 are prohibited.
By filling out this form you are certifying that you are eligible to contribute and that your contribution is made from your own funds, and that you will not be reimbursed any other person or entity.
The Oakland Campaign Reform Act limits campaign contributions by all persons (OMC §§3.12.050 and 3.12.060) and prohibits contributions during specified time periods from contractors doing business with the City of Oakland, the Oakland Redevelopment Agency or the Oakland Unified School District (OMC §3.12.140 paragraphs A, B and C.)
